Hard Rubbish Collection Northern Beaches
Sand, salt and sea air are brutal on furniture. From Manly to Palm Beach we clear out what the coast has worn out — and we plan around the one road that gets us there.
Three things that shape a Beaches collection
- 1
Peninsula access
One main road in and out means timing is everything. We schedule Palm Beach, Avalon and Newport runs to avoid the worst of Barrenjoey Road, and give you a window rather than a vague 'sometime Tuesday'.
- 2
Steep and split-level blocks
Plenty of homes from Freshwater up to Bilgola sit below or above the street with stairs in between. Our crews carry items up and out — tell us the number of flights when you book so the quote is right first time.
- 3
Holiday-rental turnovers
Short-stay properties churn furniture fast. We handle between-guest clear-outs and end-of-season replacements, and can coordinate with a cleaner or property manager rather than needing you on site.
What comes out of a coastal home
The item list up here skews outdoors. Corroded outdoor settings, sun-perished umbrellas and shade sails, surfboards and SUPs that have been repaired one time too many, wetsuit racks, bikes, kayaks and outdoor showers. Inside, it is the same as anywhere: mattresses, bed bases, lounges, wardrobes, whitegoods and a spare room that has quietly become storage. Brookvale and Frenchs Forest add a commercial layer — workshops, studios and small warehouses clearing old stock, racking and fit-out.
One local quirk worth flagging: because so many properties sit on steep sites with stairs and shared driveways, a job that looks small on paper can be a genuine carry. We would rather know upfront than surprise you with a revised price, so the booking form asks about access for exactly that reason.
Northern Beaches Council context
Northern Beaches Council runs booked household clean-up collections with volume caps and a specific accepted-items list, plus problem-waste drop-off events for paint, batteries, gas bottles and chemicals — none of which can go on a hard rubbish truck. The council service works well for a small domestic load with flexible timing. It does not cover business waste, and it will not fit around a holiday-rental changeover or a settlement date in ten days.
When you need certainty, we quote a fixed price for the whole load before we come out and confirm the date in writing. After collection, timber, metal, mattresses, whitegoods and e-waste are separated for recovery and the remainder is disposed of through licensed NSW facilities.
