Hard rubbish questions, answered plainly

Hard rubbish is bulky material that doesn't fit in your kerbside bins: lounges, mattresses and bed bases, tables and chairs, desks and shelving, whitegoods and large appliances, carpet and underlay, and boxed or bagged household clear-outs. Commercial sites also use us for office and retail fit-out furniture.

We can't collect asbestos or asbestos-containing material, liquid waste such as paints, oils and chemicals, gas bottles and pressurised cylinders, tyres, car batteries, or other hazardous waste. Building rubble and excavation soil are also outside a hard rubbish collection. E-waste and some appliances have specific handling requirements — list them in your booking and we'll confirm what we can take.

Pricing is quoted after you book. You submit the items, address and preferred date, our team reviews the volume and site access, and we come back to you with a fixed price and a collection date. Nothing is charged and no collection is locked in until you approve that quote.

Turnaround depends on volume, location and how busy the run is that week. Once your request is reviewed we'll give you the earliest available collection date along with your quote. If your job is urgent, call 1300 620 647 and we'll tell you what's possible.

We collect across Sydney Metro and Greater Sydney. If you're outside those areas, submit a request or call us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can get to you.

No. Many customers leave items in an agreed accessible spot such as a driveway, garage, kerbside or loading dock. Tell us where the items will be and include any gate codes, parking or access notes in your booking so the crew can get in and out without delay.

Loads are sorted so recoverable material — metals, timber, cardboard, mattresses and reusable furniture — is directed to recycling and recovery facilities rather than landfill. Whatever can't be recovered goes to licensed disposal facilities. This is the same recycling-first approach Mr Bin carries forward from Clear View Recycling.
