Terms & Conditions

The practical stuff

These terms cover how quotes, bookings, collections, payments and cancellations work when you use Mr Bin.

Last updated:

1. Acceptance

These terms and conditions apply when you use the Mr Bin website, request a quote, or book a hard rubbish collection with us. By submitting a booking request or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms.

If you are booking on behalf of a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.

2. Quotes and bookings

Submitting a booking request does not automatically confirm a collection. It gives us the information we need to prepare a fixed-price quote and propose a collection date.

Your booking is only confirmed once you accept the quote and any deposit or payment terms set out in it. Each quote is valid for the period stated in the quote, or for 14 days if no period is stated.

We may revise a quote if the items, access or location are materially different from what was described when you booked.

3. What we collect

We collect hard rubbish and bulky waste from residential and commercial properties in Sydney Metro and Greater Sydney. Acceptable items include furniture, appliances, whitegoods, mattresses, general household clear-outs, office furniture and fit-out waste.

We do not collect hazardous waste, asbestos, liquid waste such as paints or oils, gas bottles, pressurised cylinders, car batteries, tyres, building rubble or excavation soil unless explicitly agreed in writing and priced separately. If you are unsure whether an item can be collected, tell us when you book.

4. Access and site conditions

You are responsible for making sure the collection crew can safely access the items at the agreed address and time. This includes providing gate codes, parking information, lift access, or any other instructions needed to reach the load.

Items must be left in an accessible location as agreed with us. If the crew cannot access the items or the site conditions differ materially from what was described, we may reschedule or adjust the price before completing the collection.

5. Payment

Payment terms are set out in your quote. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on or before the collection date. We may accept bank transfer, card payment or other methods as confirmed at the time of booking.

All quoted prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

6. Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed collection, please contact us as soon as possible. Any cancellation or rescheduling fees will be set out in your quote or communicated clearly before they apply.

We may need to cancel or reschedule a collection due to unsafe conditions, vehicle breakdown, severe weather or other events outside our control. In those cases, we will contact you promptly and offer a new collection time.

7. Recycling and disposal

We sort collected loads to recover recyclable materials such as metals, timber, cardboard and mattresses where practical. Any materials that cannot be recovered are transported to licensed disposal facilities.

While we aim to maximise recycling, we cannot guarantee that every item can be diverted from landfill, particularly contaminated or mixed materials.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care when collecting and transporting your items. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the collection service or the cost of rectifying the damage caused by our negligence, whichever is less.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage to items, damage caused by incorrect or incomplete access instructions, or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9. Website content and intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, branding and logos, is owned by Mr Bin or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, modify or distribute it without our written permission.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using this site or booking a collection, you agree to that policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is dated 17 August 2026. Your continued use of the site or acceptance of a new quote means you accept the current terms.
