The Inner West turns over constantly. Leases end mid-month, share houses reshuffle, young families outgrow a two-bedroom terrace and a decade of furniture has to go somewhere. Most of the jobs we run between Newtown and Ashfield are exactly that: a mattress and bed base, a sagging three-seater, a flat-pack wardrobe that will not survive another move, and eight or nine bags of everything else.

Because the streets are narrow and often one-way, access matters more here than anywhere else in Sydney. When you book, tell us whether there is off-street parking, a rear lane, or only a kerb with resident-only restrictions. We match the vehicle to the street rather than turning up in something that cannot get down it, and our crews carry items out by hand from hallways, courtyards and second-floor walk-ups.

Council clean-ups versus a booked collection

Inner West Council, City of Canada Bay, Burwood Council all run scheduled or on-call household clean-up services, and they are worth using when your timing is flexible. What they will not do is fit around a Thursday settlement or a Sunday end-of-lease clean, and they cap the volume and the item types they will take. Council clean-ups also generally exclude commercial waste altogether — so cafés along King Street, salons in Marrickville and small offices in Balmain usually need a private operator.

That is where a booked collection earns its keep. You pick the date, we confirm a fixed price before anyone turns up, and there is no pile sitting on the verge for a fortnight collecting bags of someone else's rubbish and a fine from council. Everything we load is sorted afterwards, with metal, timber, mattresses and e-waste separated for recovery and only the genuine remainder going to landfill.
